And I have to try really hard to ignore her attitude in real life. lol Although I will say that she is the dork that Layla is.

Backstory: Layla's "look" was inspired by Shelly on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. She's what I picture an adult Layla to look like. So in my mind I was always picturing a very young Shelly as Layla, but then in my search I realized that Avril L. fits that bill perfectly. So here are the (much anticipated) Layla pics! Enjoy!

Hello! :)

It is now September 22 and there are 48 chapters of MYU complete and sent out. If you are missing any chapters or you haven't been getting emails, please email me at FictionLyn@aol.com and I will get those to you. :)

I'm having tons of fun with this one. :)

I just wrote an OMG chapter, will edit tomorrow, and post it early. I really like this one. The only thing better than this one will be when Tristan revisits that house. That one will make me cry!

And of course the chapter where T and Rylee get back together. *sigh* Oh I'm longing for those days. :)

If you have emailed me about Maybe You'd Understand, I have responded to all of the emails at this point. So if you haven't heard from me, you might want to try again. (FictionLyn@aol.com) I usually send out the MYU file, the updated one, and for some people I think the file might be too big for your email system. Which would explain why some people haven't heard back from me.

Once that is done, you should hear from me by this Monday with a new chapter. If you haven't, please email me again.

Here are random "outlines" of places in the story. I made them when I was planning the story a few years ago and I wanted to "see" the places I was going to talk about. Rylee's apartment, Tristan's apartment, and Tristan's tour bus. I'm no graphic designer but they gave me a layout of what I was dealing with in my head.

Now, beyond pictures I have always heard Rob Thomas' voice (in some songs) as Tristan's. It helps that Matchbox Twenty has the "sound" of Tristan so I made a set list of songs that I think would be the songs in the concert and ones that he wrote and would perform. Here you go in order:
